In 2009, Marvel released a series titled Old Man Logan where Wolverine and the last remaining superheroes on Earth go to war, sinking his claws into the gut of President Red Skull and taking apart the Hulk clan that murdered his entire family. After the series ended, fans awaited its next chapter, and now that we're in the summer of the Age of Ultron, the elder Wolverine has returned in the Secret Wars story.

The new Secret Wars story left open the door for pretty much everybody from every universe in the Marvel timeline to come back. If there was a better time for the Old Man Logan Wolverine to return, then now is that time; especially since the official Wolverine died earlier in the year.

The OML Wolverine won't be seen in his villain-ruled world though. He'll be facing off against the villains in Battle World. You'd have to think that once the Secret Wars story is finished, the grizzled old Wolverine (who may or may not be sporting a Hulk baby in his backpack) will join the last remaining survivors in the Battleworld universe. He may even end up being the main Wolverine in the Marvel Universe reboot. If Peter Parker and Miles Morales coexisting in the same universe is possible, then this isn't all that crazy.

The original Old Man Logan received rave reviews pretty much everywhere. On GoodReads.com, it received 4.5 out of five stars. On Amazon OML recieved essentially the same positive reviews of 4.5 out of five stars. The most impressive review came from IGN when the series scored a 9 out of 10. The video game site sung OML's praises.

"With Old Man Logan, Millar has taken the age old formula of the Wolverine vs. Hulk story and turned it on its head, delivering one of the most memorable duels between the two character I've ever read," the review stated.
