John Mayer doesn't have the same problems the rest of us do. Sometimes he faces public scrutiny by Taylor Swift fans who claim her lyrics are about him. Other times he's dealing with spending more than $5 million on what he believed to be fake Rolex watches. Not long ago, Mayer sued his former friend, Robert Maron because of the said watches and now those charges have been dropped. Charlie Sheen, a good friend to Maron, says Mayer's lawsuit was originally an act of revenge after Mayer was replaced by Sheen on the cover of June 2012's Rolling Stone.

"This d*****bag tried to bump my Rolling Stone cover and screwed Bob in the process and went behind both our backs," Sheen claimed. "This ain't about watches."

Mayer first believed the watches were bogus way back in 2007 after taking the Rolex's in for repairs. Inside of the watches, he thought he found spurious components. Mayer ended up getting a refund but still continued to buy from Maron. It turns out that wasn't the last time he cried fake.

Soon after, Mayor claimed that he found more counterfeit parts inside. By then he had purchased more than seven watches and felt the need to sue Maron for more than $650,000.

Now Mayer has taken back these claims after releasing a joint statement with Maron. According to the pop star, he was in the wrong the whole time.

"Two years of research restored John Mayer's belief that Bob Maron is an expert on Rolex watches, and confirmed that Bob Maron never sold him a counterfeit watch," the statement read.

What do you make of Mayer and the watches? Was this retaliation or was Mayer really reacting to being sold bogus watches?
