DC's Legends of Tomorrow will arrive on the CW next year, which means fans are already speculating about what will happen on the Arrow and The Flash spinoff.

Luckily, TVLine has some scoop from the cast members! The following comes from the "Matt's Inside Line" column.

"Turning to DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, the cast was hard-pressed to elaborate on the midseason CW drama, seeing as no one had seen a script for the pilot yet. (They only filmed a trailer for this month’s Upfronts.) That said, Brandon Routh allowed that I made 'a pretty good guess' that Ray/The Atom’s exploded body has been reconstituted using miniaturization-capable nanites; Ciara Renee said that the origin of her winged hero, Kendra Saunders, will be 'melding some [Hawkgirl origin stories] together'; and Franz Drameh was super-mum on what powers high school jock Jay Jackson (MIA from the trailer) might bring to the table” – though the actor himself 'was in the London Youth Circus for a little while.' Hmm."

In other news, the show brings back Caity Lotz as White Canary, and the actress discussed her role in a recent interview with TVLine.

"It's going to be big," Lotz said of the new series. "I did not really know much about the show but I said 'I want to do it, I trust you guys.' And when we were shooting our teaser, they were telling me some of the stuff that's going to be happening and I was like 'This is way cooler - not that I didn't think it would be cool...but the stuff, I wasn't imagining or picturing. It's going to be really fun to shoot and I think people are going to like it."

Lotz's original character, Sara Lance aka Black Canary, died in the Season 3 premiere of Arrow, so it was unclear how the Black Canary would return, but the network has since revealed her identity. Comic Book Resources has posted the official teaser image for the spinoff, which shows that Lotz portrays White Canary. Check it out here.

We also know the show will premiere as part of the network's midseason lineup, and we know the CW has ordered it to series. And it sounds like the show will be epic in scope based on the official description:

"When heroes alone are not enough... the world needs legends. Having seen a future he will desperately try to prevent from happening, time-traveling rogue Rip Hunter is tasked with assembling a disparate group of heroes and villains to confront an unstoppable threat -- one in which not only is the planet at stake, but all of time itself. Can this ragtag team defeat an immortal threat unlike anything they've ever known?"
