Hollywood star, John Travolta's Christmas just got merrier with Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge Malcom Mackey ordering the author of "You'll Never Spa In This Town Again," Robert Randolph, to foot the $139,645.17 legal bill for Travolta, Dec. 7.
Randolph unsuccessfully sued the actor for defamation costing the author to pay up Travolta's legal fee too.
"This legal fee award is another complete and total victory for Mr. Travolta," said Martin Singer, Travolta's attorney in a statement. "Anyone else who files a ridiculous lawsuit against him should expect a similar outcome."
The author who writes about gay bathhouses claimed that Travolta frequented gay bathhouses and had filed a libel suit against the star alleging he and his attorney conspired to discredit him and his book by purportedly spreading that the author had been to a mental institute and had a mental illness.
In 2010, Randolph wrote an article for Gawker called "The Secret Sex Life of John Travolta" and in response to it Singer had sent a letter to Gawker denying the allegations and saying that Randolph had mental illness.
Randolph had filed the suit in June in response to the letter.
The case was rejected back in September by the judge.
Sarah J. Golden, Randolph's lawyer did not comment, New York Daily News reported.
The book was published in February claiming Travolta had been with several men at L.A.'s City Spa in the 1990s. The author also alleged that the "Pulp Fiction" actor had also tried ot seduce him in a steam room.
