'Agent Carter' Season 2 Spoilers: Hayley Atwell's Peggy Carter Returns For 10 New Episodes!

After making her way from the blockbuster Captain America movies, Marvel's Agent Carter will be returning for Season 2 on ABC. In the upcoming new season, Peggy Carter (Hayley Atwell) finds new adventures and a new love in Los Angles In a limited 10 episodes miniseries arc.

As we previously mentioned, ABC has greenlit a second season for Agent Carter and a third season for Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.. We were waiting to hear if the period drama will stay on as an 8 episode miniseries when Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is on hiatus. On her official Twitter account, Attwell shared a snapshot, promising "new missions."

We also mentioned, the second season plot synopsis follows, "Dedicated to the fight against new atomic age threats in the wake of World War II, Peggy must now journey from New York City to Los Angeles for her most dangerous assignment yet. But even as she discovers new friends, a new home - and perhaps even a new love - she's about to find out that the bright lights of the post-war Hollywood mask a more sinister threat to everyone she is sworn to protect."

According to Digital Spy, the Cinderella actress revealed the news at Comicpalooza in Houston. The sophomore season will consist of two more episodes than its first season.

Atwell elaborates on the 1940s Los Angeles setting, "I also think the showrunners really want to move it forward. So it's going to be set in LA and with 10 episodes it's going to be a very glamorous, dark world of 1940s Los Angeles.

The Captain America actress continues, "I think it might be touched upon a little bit about her background, but I think we want to move it forward so the audience feel like we are taking them on a new journey."
