Is Ellen DeGeneres about to throw in the towel on her talk show? New reports are emerging saying that the longtime running series could be coming to an end soon. While Ellen has been a staple for our afternoon viewing pleasure since 2003, come 2017 we might not be seeing the comedienne on the airwaves anymore. While this loss would be pretty emotional it could possibly have something to do with her marriage to Portia De Rossi.

According to Radar Online, Portia is allegedly pressuring Ellen to pack it in on her show to spend time focusing on her family.

"[Portia] asked Ellen to not renew her contract so that she can be a better wife," an insider explained of De Rossi who reportedly battled drug and alcohol addiction back in 2014. "She told her that she needs to focus on her family."

However, the site is reporting that it isn't just Ellen who Porita is taking her unhappiness out on, but rather the entire cast and crew of the show.

"When Portia comes into the studio lately, she is not as nice to everyone as she used to be," a crew member told the site. "She seems to really resent the show and everyone who works there."

With Ellen's contract ending in two years it could be very possible that we will have to cope without seeing her on our TVs every afternoon, according to International Business Times.

"Ellen's contract is up in 2017 and she has told her staff that she does not know if she is going to renew it," an insider explained to the news site. "Everyone on the staff is just freaking out over this."
