Adrian Peterson looks like he'll be returning to the Minnesota Vikings after all. Peterson made the big announcement on Monday despite not getting the contract he desired in the off-season. Right now, Peterson walks into practice as the highest-paid back in all the NFL. There was speculation whether he would return after last season's allegations of child abuse.

Peterson released a statement and said he's just happy to be playing football again. His love of the game is said to have been the main reason he returned back to the playing field.

"I'm returning because I want to. I'm a part of this football team and I owe it to the guys I play with and to our coaches," Peterson said in the statement. "I was planning on coming in this week, and I'm looking forward to getting back on the field. It's what I love to do."

This year Peterson will be making $12.75 million and in the next two years he has the ability to make up to $32 million. The problem with this is that the Vikings can cut him any time in 2016 and 2017. None of this money is guaranteed.

Peterson was looking for a more guaranteed contract but his age and those allegations last year probably all played a factor in how his current contract was shaped. It looks like the 2015 season will have everything to do with whether he'll be getting pay days in 2016 and 2017.

How do you think Adrian Peterson will do this season? Will he earn his money and continue being a dominant back or will he fall off as most do after the age of 30?

One reason I play the way I do! Great inspiring leaders! Thanks Barry.... I'm coming for you!!! Hahaha
