'Bones' Season 10: Ep 21 Spoilers: Will David Boreanaz, Emily Deschanel Accept Booth's Promise?

Season 10 of Bones continues with The Life in the Light. In Episode 20, while the two are working out their differences, is Temperance Brennan (Emily Deschanel) too heartbroken over her problems with Seeley Booth (David Boreanaz) and just finds his promises "meaningless?"

As we previously mentioned, the Jeffersonian team lost a longtime member, while welcoming a new addition at the same time. The tenth season premiere started with a major shocker as Lance Sweets (John Francis Daley) met with a horrible death while trying to clear Booth's name. The mourning period began with Sweets' funeral and the introduction to his successor, FBI Agent James Aubrey (John Boyd). We last saw Booth attending a gamblers anonymous meeting, breaking down emotionally, and taking the first step in admitting his gambling problem.

According to TV Guide, the episode follows the Jeffersonian team discovering the remains of an ex-con and former biker, who became a yoga instructor. Because his body was found in the ruins of a forest fire, the team has to cast a wide net to find the killer. Meanwhile, Booth continues to fight his gambling addiction. With their trip to Paris becoming more concrete, Angela (Michaela Conlin) and Hodgins (T.J. Thyne) must make an important decision about their future at the Jeffersonian.

In an interview with TV Line, executive producer Stephen Nathan reveals what will it take for Brennan and Booth to patch things up, "It appears as if she needs some concrete evidence that he won't do this again or that he is the man she thought he was. Since there are no guarantees, all she can hope for is to see the man that she thought he was... That's the only thing that ultimately turns us in situations like this. Because every promise in the world is meaningless. You just have to decide, 'OK, are we going to do this together?'"
