Raven-Symone Is 'The View's' Newest Host, Joins Whoopi Goldberg in Rosie O'Donnell's Old Spot

If Raven-Symone could take a look into the future she would see herself sitting on a talk show with Whoopi Goldberg, Rosie Perez, and Nicolle Wallace. The former Disney starlet has just secured herself a spot on ABC morning talk show The View. While the show has seemed like a revolving door of co-hosts over the last two seasons as Rosie O'Donnell, Jenny McCarthy and Sherri Shepherd have all made their exit, the network has been trying to figure out their who to have sit on the panel with the other women.

Well it looks like they found their star, as according to Radar Online, Symone will be boarding the series in the coming months.

"Raven-Symone is a welcome addition to The View," Barbara Walters, who serves as the executive producer on the show, explained in a statement. "She is happy, amusing and well informed, and has already brought a unique perspective to the program that has resonated with our audience."

The View also took to the their Twitter account to break the casting news, writing, "It's official! @ravensymone joins @TheView as co-host!"

As for Raven, she couldn't be happier about her new job, and is excited to learn from fellow co-hosts Whoopi, Rosie and Nicolle.

"Being a part of The View family will be a wonderful growing experience for me," the starlet explained in a statement, "The cast and crew are warm and welcoming and has made the transition into daytime talk easier. I have a lot to learn within this new arena, but being the apprentice of these spectacular women will only make me a better person and talk show host."
