Barnes became famous over night thanks to his outrageous looks and the comments he made at the scene of an accident after a police chase involving a Jackson Police car and another person happened earlier this week. His comments, including "he twist around like a tornado, girl" and "on my way to get a piece of burger," garnered national regconition this week after the WLBT video went viral. The station revealed that Barnes' interview was not added in the news packages by WAPT or WLBT, but the last news station on-site posted it.
WAPT News Director Ben Hart made a statement via Facebook that read: "The station did not air Barnes' interview because his story isn't even accurate."
Now it may be another chase involving Jackson police and Barnes. According to WLBT and other media outlets, "a piece of burger" is wanted in Ridgeland and Jackson, Mississippi.
Besides being accused of stealing merchandise from Swell-O-Phonic in Fondren, Barnes also has $1600 worth of fines, which are mainly traffic violations.
