Former NAACP leader Rachel Dolezal is having one hell of a difficult time since being ousted from the organization for accusations (and photos) that claim she isn't an African American. Of course, despite all that, she doesn't seem to be budging, as she continued to tell Today's Matt Lauer that she does indeed identify as black earlier this morning.

At the start of the interview, Lauer blatantly came out asking Dolezal, "Are you an African American woman?" To that, the former prez answered, "I identify as black."

Lauer then put up a photograph of Dolezal in her teens looking all too different than she does today, and she admits that the young girl in the photo would be "visibly identified as white by people who see her." At the time, Dolezal claims she wasn't identifying herself as black, but later noted that she began to do so at the age of five.

So, um, what?

"When did you start deceiving people?" Lauer asked. To which she claimed it's a little more complex, as she seems to go through transitions from "trans-racial" to "biracial" to "black," per various reports throughout her life.

As far as having done something to darken her looks, she responded, "I certainly don't stay out of the sun."
