The Atlanta NAACP made a call on Monday to remove Confederate symbols from Stone Mountain, a park in Georgia. They said that the massive Confederate Memorial Carving, which is a carving of Jefferson Davis, Robert E. Lee and Thomas "Stonewall" Jackson, should be removed, whether by sand-blasting or more preservative ways. Read More »
If former NAACP Spokane leader Rachel Dolezal thought she was going to be able to get away from Jon Stewart unscathed amid her “I’m Black” scandal, well, she had another thing coming. The Daily Show host kicked off last night’s episode with guest Judd Apatow by unveiling a very infrequently used segment titled Whaaaaaaaat?! Former NAACP leader Rachel Dolezal is having one hell of a difficult time since being ousted from the organization for accusations (and photos) that claim she isn't an African American. "MStars News" has learned that another attack has happened — this time in the United States. According to NBC News, the NAACP Colorado Springs Chapter's office was attacked by explosives, but no one was injured. The NAACP statement on the matter reads: "The NAACP has released the following statement regarding an ongoing investigation into an explosion near the Colorado Springs branch. "No injuries were reported in what is believed to be an explosion near the Colorado Springs NAACP branch located on the 600 block of S. El Paso St. The cause of the explosion is still unknown. The NAACP looks forward to a full and thorough investigation into this matter by federal agents and local law enforcement." Read More »
