Last week, Lamar Odom's best friend overdosed and the former Los Angeles Laker has taken the death hard, leading the whole Kardashian family to worry he'll fall back into his addictions. Jamie Sangouthai, the friend who overdosed, went on a crack binge with Lamar two years ago and despite Odom eventually kicking the habit, the two remained friends. The Kardashians are hoping this will turn out to be a wake-up call for Khloé's estranged husband, but they believe he may just end up binging.

Sources close to the Kardashians say Odom has had trouble kicking the habit in the long term and Sangouthai may fuel Odom to do drugs in death, just as he did in life. While the Kardashians are afraid for Odom, the former star says this is indeed a wake-up call.

"When he found out Jamie died, he was devastated. He feels like it could have happened to him. This is a huge wake-up call for him. It has really shaken him... They were best friends, like brothers. Lamar is going to take this really hard."

It remains to be seen if this will be the case.

Right now Odom is still legally a Kardashian family member. Khloe Kardashian hasn't taken any steps to move forward on her divorce case with Odom. The two talk, but nobody is sure if they're actually reconciling. A judge has threatened to dismiss the case if it there is no action.

Here's what some people are saying about it on Twitter.

Do you think Odom relapse after his friend's death or do you think that this will be the final piece in the road to being clean?
