The clock will be ticking again as Fox is planning a spinoff from their popular 24 franchise. Will viewers get to see ex-CTU agent Jack Bauer (Kiefer Sutherland) reunite with friend and ally, Chloe O'Brian (Mary Lynn Rajskub), after the action-packed season finale of 24: Live Another Day?

As we perviously mentioned, Fox is developing a 24 spinoff, which would revolve around a new twenty-something male terrorist hunter. Executive Producer Howard Gordon confirmed the project to the sit at the recent Critics Choice Television Awards. This new character will be teamed up with a more seasoned female agent.

The spinoff will follow the traditional 24 format, each episode represents an hour of a single day. Manny Coto and Evan Katz will serve as writers and executive producers. Fox will most likely launch the spinoff as a limited series, much like Live Another Day.

In an interview with Variety, Sutherland explains the possibly of a cameo appearance even though he won't have any involvement, "I'm not coming back to do 24, because there are other things I want to do. And when they said 'limited-series run,' I meant it. But I've always felt, from season one on, that 24 is such a great idea that this can go on forever. I think if you create a new cast or other characters in the telling of this story, it will bring a freshness. And let's face it, there's only so many bad days one can have before the show becomes a mad comic."

Rajskub reveals to ET Canada if Chloe O'Brian will return to 24 franchise, "I'm not buying it without Kiefer. I think you can have him sort of not there for a bit, but you have to find him eventually. All roads lead to Jack, and you can't find Jack without Chloe."
