Archie vs. Predator #3 (Dark Horse Comics)

Review by Yasmin Merchant

Mixing one of America's most beloved teens with a gruesome alien hunter, the Archie comics have done their fair share of strange crossovers before, but this one is by far the strangest. Unlike many of the other crossovers, this book mirrors the original art style of Archie comics, so the violence of Predator feels quite jarring and out of place. With every character completely over the top, this is a pretty fun read if you've got some down time and need something crazy and humorous.

Rating: Wait for trade

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Casey & April #1 (IDW Publishing)

Review by Jorge Solis

Casey and April are having relationship issues as they go on a special mission. The anime-inspired artwork by Irene Koh is simply amazing to look and gives the series a definitive look at its own. You're going to really like who the Big Bad is they're going to face!

Black Canary Vol. 4 #1 (DC Comics)

Review by Yasmin Merchant

Coming straight out of the conclusion of Batgirl Vol. 1, we follow Black Canary in a brand new direction. Though we've seen her as a solider and vigilante, we now get to see her hitting the road as a rock star. The stage is the last place Dinah thought she'd ever be, but she'll do anything to protect her new friends. This combination of martial arts, spies, and rock and roll should make Black Canary amazing.

Rating: Must Buy

Mind MGMT #34 (Dark Horse Comics)

Review by Jorge Solis

I personally love the Mind MGMT series and I'm always afraid to pick up an issue because we're so close to the final issue. Meru and her team infiltrate the new Mind Management HQ, and you know writer/artist Matt Kindt isn't going to make it easy for them. Each issue is well-worth reading, I don't want it to end.

Rating: Must Buy Now

Thors #1 (Marvel)

Review by Yasmin Merchant

The Thors of every universe assemble as Battleworld's police force. Throg the Frog of Thunder, Beta Ray Thor, Thor Stormborn and many more carry out justice with their hammers. The Thors must tackle a murder case that could unravel the fabric of reality. This police drama series is like nothing you've ever seen from Marvel before.

Rating: Must Buy

Honorable Mention: We loved talking to Tim Seeley about the first volume of Grayson. His also has a horror comic out entitled, Revival. Who doesn't love zombies?
