'Bones' Season 11 Spoilers: Will David Boreanaz, Emily Deschanel Meet Temperance Brennan's New Boss?

The Season 10 finale of Bones aired on Fox. With Season 11 of Bones in the planning stages, as Temperance Brennan (Emily Deschanel) and Seeley Booth (David Boreanaz) reconcile; will they return to the Jefferson team with open arms and suddenly discover her new replacement?

As we previously mentioned, the Jeffersonian team lost a longtime member, while welcoming a new addition at the same time. The tenth season premiere started with a major shocker as Lance Sweets (John Francis Daley) met with a horrible death while trying to clear Booth's name. The mourning period began with Sweets' funeral and the introduction to his successor, FBI Agent James Aubrey (John Boyd). With a new baby on the way, Brennan and Booth made the decision to say goodbye, even though Pelant threatened to return.

During the season finale, Angela and Hidgins made the decision to stay and ditch their plans for Paris, while giving their tainted and stolen $4 billion to charities in need. The episode felt like a series finale and a do-over at the same time.

In an interview with TV Line, executive producer Stephen Nathan discusses the unwatched Pelant tape, "Everything is up in the air right now, to be honest. I don't want to say yes or no to anything. It's a big task to work them back and get them resolved again. We don't want to take the easy way out. You don't want to just go back to a well that's running dry."

Nathan answers cryptically if viewers will meet Brennan's replacement in the eleventh season premiere, "Yes," but also answers if this will be a new character or someone audiences have met before, "Everything is still up in the air. I can't really say anything definitively about [Season] 11."

Reruns of Bones can currently be seen on Fox. Bones will return for Season 11.
