Rachel McAdams 'True Detective' Taylor Kitsch Dating Rumors, Jake Gyllenhaal Over

While it was being rumored earlier this year that Rachel McAdams had sparked up an onscreen romance with her Southpaw co-star Jake Gyllenhaal, it is now being reported that she has more of a thing for detectives rather than boxers. New reports are claiming that McAdams and her True Detective co-star Taylor Kitsch have sparked up a little fling. After being spotted out and about on a dinner date last month, the news of the coupling is making its way into the spotlight.

True Detective premiered at the end of last month, but it seems that McAdams and Kitsch will be spending a lot of time together off-screen now that the show's second season has wrapped.

An insider confirmed the dating rumors to Us Weekly, saying that while the Canadian stars have been friends for years, that they started growing closer during filming for the HBO series.

"It hasn't been long," an insider told the news site, adding, "but it's serious. They grew closer on set. They're really into each other. She talks about him all the time!"

However, while it seems that McAdams is a huge advocate for dating co-stars, she once explained in an interview with Glamour that the set isn't a very "conducive" place a romance. She explained that her romances with castmates have all started after filming wrapped.

"A set may seem like a good place for romance, but I don't think it's very conducive; it's too distracting," the starlet explained. "Every relationship I've had with a coworker comes after the fact."

Us Weekly is reporting that this wasn't the cast with Gyllenhaal, as an insider explained in April, "she definitely dated Jake Gyllenhaal while filming Southpaw."
