In the middle of Dolph Ziggler's contract dispute the former World Champion spoke with Redskins.com about embracing all the hate shot at them. If there is one team in the NFL who is going to have a lot of bile thrown at them it is the Washington Redskins. These days even their name inspires controversy. Ziggler is used to playing the heel role masterfully and it is because of this that he can impart some great wisdom for the team.

At one point in Ziggler's career he was such a great bad guy, the crowd began to love him. Now he is one of the most beloved superstars on the roster.

When asked about how the Redskins should handle walking into New York and Philadelphia, Ziggler said to "embrace" the hate.

"Embrace it," Ziggler told the Redskins website. "Do whatever you want. If you can back it up you can mock everyone and if you're scoring touchdowns; if you're shutting down offenses; if you're making big plays; you get to back it up however you want. You get to say 'hey good job' or move your hand away and go 'I'm the best and that's why.'"

Ziggler, just like the Redskins, always finds himself in some sort of controversy whether it be in the ring or out of it. He recently spoke up about his contract situation during an interview with the Chad Dukes Show. In the interview, Ziggler said he's willing to leave the WWE and be a star somewhere else if it means he can raise his star power with the company.

"I had a request for an upcoming contract that would end a few months from now, maybe two or three months from now, and they requested back what they would like. I countered another offer and we're waiting to finalize some things," Ziggler said.

Ziggler then went on to say he was frustrated with the company not allowing him to take certain gigs to promote himself and the company.

"I love WWE and I can't picture myself wrestling somewhere else but it's also becoming now where that Wednesday and Thursday, I can't just do that and get some outside live events for comedy and different movie and television options, which would only be to promote myself as a WWE superstar, to make myself a bigger star so I can advance more in WWE," Ziggler continued.

"So if I can't find that happy medium, I might have to go away for a little bit."
