It's not a surprise to know that Arnold Schwarzenegger will be reprising his much-anticipated role as the T-101 as well as a Terminator 800 in Terminator Genisys. He interviewed with IGN reporter, Jim Vejvoda, about the timelessness of James Cameron's original story and the persona Schwarzenegger has created for over two decades now.

The former governor mentioned that little children now recognize him because they have recently seen the original 1984 film and are excited to see him in public. Whilst talking about one of the major themes of the franchise--fear of technology and machines--Schwarzenegger discusses the idea of how easy it is to see an older film in this day and age, how people download movies and watch them on the go on iPads and laptops.

When asked why he believes the franchise is still successful, he says, "It was a character where you could kind of do a really brutal thing but you get away with it because you're a machine and at the same time you can be switched over and programmed to be a protector. [The Terminator films were] done well and it made people fall in love with that character." As well as the versatility of the Terminator character, Schwarzenegger highly praises James Cameron for his story-telling ability and names that talent as the reason people still are interested in the lives of the characters.

Schwarzenegger explains that when he was done with his governorship, he was more than excited to join the project and loves the idea that the film brings to life what the first flick only discussed. His enthusiasm for the story and his love for the character and the Terminator series really shines through. It will be interesting to see the movie and how it plays with the idea of people getting seduced by technology.
