The sci-fi drama, Humans, continues with an all-new episode on AMC. In Episode 2, viewers will watch Dr. George Millican (William Hurt), Colin Morgan (Leo) and synth Anita (Gemma Chan), as the search for a missing Synth leads them straight into a deadly conspiracy.

Laura (Katherine Parkinson) is unable to sleep and wakes up distressed. Laura checks on her daughter, Sophie (Pixie Davies), and discovers her clothes have been changed. Sophie doesn't remember, but she's reply sure she didn't wet herself.

Fred (Sope Dirisu) is being held captive at a secret facility and being treated like a lab rat. Hobbs (Danny Webb) wants Fred analyzed and opened up, to figure out why he is such an anomaly. Inside his memories is an image of Anita swimming in the water.

As Joe (Tom Goodman-Hill) has off to work, Laura continues to be jealous of Anita, who has just made lunch for Sophie. Leo wakes up in the junkyard while D.S. Pete Drummond (Neil Maskell) is unable to take care of his wife, like their Synth Trailer. Pete's partner, DI Karen Voss (Ruth Bradley) makes a joke, making things worse, when she mentions his Synth looks like a beefcake.

Leo and Max continue in their search for Anita, which takes them to an underground lab. After getting into a brawl, Leo discovers from the illegal operators  that they wiped Anita's memory clean. Unfortunately, Leo is beaten to a pulp, as the operators kick him in the body wounds, before he manages to escape.

While Max carries Leo in his arms, George and his outdated robot, Odi (Will Tudor) get a visit from his social worker. George's update, Vera (Rebecca Front), is now taking over the household. George has to pretend to be sick, keeping Vera distracted, while Odi hides in the backyard from her.

During their investigation of the underground lab, Pete rough-handles one of the suspects, and manages to get himself kicked out of the crime scene. Max continues to carry Leo, who's too weak to stand. Niska (Emily Berrington) is unable to control herself at the brothel and screams her lungs out.

Max and Leo have to keep moving, now that Hobbs knows their hideout. Laura tells Joe that Anita might be glittering but he doesn't believe her. After keeping Odi hidden, George gets caught and is man-handled by his nurse.

Laura's son is unable to keep it in the pants and almost gets in trouble with Anita, who knows he's just a horny teen. Niska makes a daring escape from the brothel. When a client tells Niska he wants her to be afraid and scared when he sexually attacks her, she refuses and beats the crap out of him. She then uses his fingerprints to escape the room.

Before leaving, the madam tries to stop her, but Niska threaten to slit her throat. The madam faints after Niska cuts herself and takes the tracking chip out of her wound. Niska is finally free and outside in the world.

In the public bathroom, Max finally lays down Leo on the floor, cuts some wires, and connects them to Leo's bloody wounds. The electricity brings Leo back to life and wakes him up.

Laura has had enough of Anita, especially after she puts her arms around Sophie. After a yelling match, Laura tells Sophie she's taking Anita back to the factory. Just as Laura is getting into the car, Anita stands outside waiting.
