Comedian Amy Schumer talks Judd Apatow'sTrainwreck and why she decided to break into comedy in the first place on Comedy Central Radio. The film is her first time writing and starring in a feature-length movie and when she toured earlier this year, much of her stand-up routine revolved around not only the shooting of the film, but also the behind-the-scenes inner workings of Hollywood. She joked of being "fat" in L.A. and what it was like to have a nutritionist to lose weight for the movie.

Listening to the podcasts posted from Comedy Central Radio, Schumer and Apatow clearly have good banter and a warm friendship. Apatow even admitted to being "jealous" of the comedian who, after filming wrapped, got to continue touring and performing her stand-up routine where as Apatow had to work on post-production of the film. He admits to having felt so contained that he felt the itch to get back out onto the stage and perform stand-up like Schumer was doing at the time.

Trainwreck focuses on the idea that monogamy is not an option and hits on topics that are quite similar to that of Schumer's usual stand-up routine and similar to the subject matter on her show on Comedy Central, Inside Amy Schumer.

According to Variety, following a screening of the film for SAG members last Friday, Schumer discussed the filmmaking process with co-stars from the movie: Colin Quinn, Vanessa Bayer, John Cena and Bill Hader. She mentioned that making the film felt easier than doing stand-up or her show. The top priority for her is to laugh and have fun and she mentioned how directing and writing had been an enjoyable process as well. She just likes to see people succeed.

Trainwreck hits theaters July 16 and you can catch the current season of Inside Amy Schumer on Comedy Central.
