After the series finale of Parks and Recreation and the publication of her book, Yes Please!, as well as the release of Pixar's Inside Out, Amy Poehler is in a position of not only success but also cleverness and sophistication. This has to be said because although she has been making audiences laugh since she joined the cast of SNL back in its 2001-2002 season, Poehler also has a desire to encourage young dreamers and those who feel as though they "don't fit in." The actress has been known to say things like, "Be yourself. No one else can be you."

Recently, Forbes selected her for an ongoing piece called "Celebrity Substance," where the magazine features a celebrity that has succeeded in various types of professions so that readers can learn not only from their successes, but from their failures as well. In addition to her inspiring book and quirky comedy, Poehler also runs a website called Amy Poehler's Smart Girls where she posts comedic videos and words of inspiration to young women. Her main message is that she doesn't want young people to feel like they are alone and she wants them to know that what they are going through is completely normal. Some of her best advice that she covers is this: don't wait until you're ready, be open and don't be indifferent. You can check out more details at Forbes.com.

Now that Inside Out is getting rave reviews it's almost time to prepare for another collaboration between Poehler and her long-time friend and "partner in crime" Tiny Fey in Sisters. The film follows two sisters who want to throw one last house party before their parents sell their childhood home. Directed by Jason Moore (Pitch Perfect) and written by Paula Pell (SNL), the film will be released December 18th. No official trailer is out yet, but there is a promotional video you can take a look at here.
