Rosie Perez 'View' Exit a "Messy Situation": Upset with ABC Talk Show?

Rosie Perez admitted yesterday during a broadcast of The View that leaving the show was definitely a bittersweet experience, however, it looks like it might be more bitter than sweet. New reports are emerging claiming that Perez had a rough time after learning that the ABC morning program was planning to let her go. Perez joined Whoopi Goldberg, Rosie O'Donnell and Nicolle Wallace as a last minute addition this season, and because of this she was allegedly angered that the team didn't let her know what she was getting herself into.

Radar Online is reporting that there have even been talks that Rosie was getting ready with legal action after learning that she was going to get the axe.

"It's a messy situation," an insider explained to the news site. "ABC is trying to put on [a] good face, but Rosie fought them all the way. There were even threats of lawsuits!"

The site also reported that it was being rumored that the production team was looking to get rid of Perez back in January when she took a leave of absence to do a show on Broadway. This further angered Rosie, who allegedly felt that she was doing the team a favor by agreeing to be on the show with such short notice.

"She did them a favor, and they threw her to the wolves," the source told the site. "They didn't tell her there was a war going on between the other co-hosts. She walked into a bloodbath and no one supported her."
