After the loss of one of the most beloved comedians and actors of all time last August, one of Robin Williams's last films, Boulevard, hits theaters today. Kathy Baker places Williams's wife, who doesn't share his bedroom with him. Boulevard is a gritty and solemn drama that is similar to his roles in Good Will Hunting and Dead Poets Society. The character, Mack, is a sad individual who only finds comfort in a good friend played by Bob Odenkirk. Time summarizes, "The movie tells the story of Nolan Mack, a 60-year-old banker, who begins to reevaluate his life — and especially his marriage, after meeting a young hustler." It's directed by Dito Montiel (Guide to Recognizing Saints and Fighting) and written by Douglas Soesbe (Blind Terror and The Wrong Woman).

Williams lent his voice to another film directed by Terry Jones that will be released this summer, called Absolutely Anything, starring Simon Pegg, Kate Beckinsale, John Cleese, Rob Riggle and Terry Gilliam. That film takes on a completely different genre than Boulevard. Its synopsis on IMDb reads, "A group of eccentric aliens confer a human being with the power to do absolutely anything, as an experiment." From the looks of the trailer, it's a comedy following Pegg's character who is given extraordinary powers. Williams is the voice of Pegg's dog and a group of aliens observes the man and his dog. Chaos, of course, ensues.

Williams is greatly missed and will remain a part of film and TV history forever, but it's nice to know that we still have a few films to look forward to this summer. Keep your eyes peeled for Absolutely Anything set to be in theaters Aug. 15 of this year and the trailer below.
