AMC's 'Turn: Washington's Spies!' Season 3 Renewed: Jamie Bell's Abraham Woodhull Returns!

The Season 2 finale of Turn: Washington's Spies on AMC ended on a major cliffhanger. With Season 3 of Turn: Washington's Spies renewed, viewers will find out what will happen next to the revolutionary undercover spy, Abraham Woodhull (Jame Bell) and if he makes it out alive from the battlefield.

During the sophomore season finale, after shooting Hewlett's messenger on a country road. Woodhull is suddenly taken hostage by mercenary Robert Rogers (Angus Macfadyen). After strangling his neck and tying him up, Robert has plans for Abe and stetting a proper trap to hurt Andre and aide the American spy ring.

According to Variety, Charlie Collier, president of AMC and SundanceTV, has ordered 10 episodes to air in the following year, 2016. Executive producer/showrunner Craig Silverstein and executive producer Barry Josephson lad out their plans for the season three storylines, Laying out their vision for the upcoming season clinched the deal.

Collier tells the site, "We think Craig and Barry delivered a wonderful season of storytelling this year. And there are so many historical touchpoints for where they will take the show next season."

Collier adds, "We always want to send a strong signal to the creative community that we will lean in to a diverse slate of stories."

With Bell's appearance in the the summer blockbuster, Fanastic Four, his career could skyrocket based on the box-office performance. It's better for AMC to grab hold of the Jumper actor before he gets too big.

AMC is currently airing the second season of the '80s period piece, Halt and Catch Fire, along with the first season of sci-fi drama, Humans. MStars has interviews with two of the cast members, Gemma Chan and William Hurt, plus recaps of the first episodes.

The second season of AMC's Turn: Washington's Spies is available online until August 7.
