A KKK opponent in South Carolina trolled a pro-Confederate flag rally in a unique way on Saturday. When he saw the rally coming by, Matt Buck took out his trusty sousaphone and mocked the marchers by playing a tune from Family Guy and Wagner's "Ride of the Valkyries."

A video was posted on YouTube of Buck's serenade, and you can clearly see him walking on the sidewalk following the Confederate flag rally and playing music loudly enough to drown out whatever they might have been saying.

"And this is what stupid looks like," the woman filming the scene says in the video.

Buck had attended a peaceful counter protest earlier in the day at the South Carolina statehouse. The Confederate flag was removed from the South Carolina statehouse earlier this month with a legislative movement. The KKK and Black Panthers protested head-to-head at the statehouse, with the KKK rallying for the Confederate flag and the Black Panthers rallying for justice.

Buck studied tuba performance at the University of South Carolina. When he saw the pro-Confederate rally marching, he was struck by inspiration.

"My goal was to embarrass them, and I think I did a little bit," he told the Charleston City Paper.

Buck followed protestors for a bit playing music. One of the tunes he took from an episode of Family Guy. In that episode, Stewie is paid to follow obese people around while playing the tuba. Buck also played the "Ride of the Valkyries" from Wagner's Die Walkure. He said he chose that theme because of its use in a Nazi car chase scene in The Blues Brothers.

None of the marchers particularly challenged or addressed him, Buck said, though a few had some things to say. Still, it was an amusing moment in an otherwise humorless event.

"I didn't really know how to show my opposition, so that was my way of doing it," Buck said.
