'Underworld' Movies Star Kate Beckinsale, Still Sexy and Versatile at Age 42!

Still glamorous, Kate Beckinsale turn 42 years old over the weekend on July 26! Not only does the British-born Underworld actress still got it in the way she works the red carpet, but she's still admired for her sexy physique and clear skin. InStyle reports that she is an avid yogi and is a pretty hip mom to her 16-year-old daughter, Lily Mo Sheen. A terrific woman and also keeping busy on set as well.

According to InStyle, "Her latest film with costar Cara Delevingne is The Face of an Angel, a thriller loosely based on the Amanda Knox tale. She's shown her breadth as an actress over the years, starring in everything from action films like the Underworld series, Van Helsing and Total Recall, to war-time epics (Pearl Harbor) and even rom-coms (Serendipity)." She's had a long history of being versatile in the business and will continue to do so in some of her upcoming films. Not only has she recently finished a handful of films varying in genre, but it's also been announced that she is returning as her immortal vampire character, Selene, in the next sequel in the Underworld series called Underworld: Next Generation. It's in pre-production right now and the plot is unknown, but more details should unfold shortly regarding the highly anticipated film.

Absolutely Anything (to be released August 14th) is Beckinsale's next movie to be released and it follows the main character played by Simon Pegg, who receives mysterious, all-encompassing powers given to him by "eccentric aliens." Beckinsale plays the character of Catherine and should be pretty hilarious. It's also the last film to utilize the voice talent of the late Robin Williams.

By September 25, Beckinsale's next film, The Disappointments Room will hit theaters and that film is of a completely different genre. It follows the story of "a mother and her young son [who] release unimaginable horrors from the attic of their rural dream home," according to IMDB. The film seems creepy and more in sync with what type of films Beckinsale is known for.
