CBS' 'Supergirl' Episode 3 Spoilers: Will Melissa Benoist, Mehcad Brooks Fight Chris Browning?

Before its the official October premiere date, CBS has made a new casting announcement for the DC Comics superheroine Supergirl. In Episode 3, will Kara Zor-El (Melissa Benoist), Jimmy Olsen (Mehcad Brooks) unexpectedly fight the Superman baddie known as Reactron (Chris Browning)?

As we previously mentioned, the CBS superhero drama will follow the comic book adventures of Kara Zor-El (Benoist). Born on the planet Krypton, Kara Zor-El escaped before its destruction. While living on Earth, Kara has been hiding the powers she shares with her famous cousin. But now at the tender age of 24, she decides to embrace her superhuman abilities and become the hero she was always meant to be.

According to TV Line, Chris Browning (Sons of Anarchy) will guest-star on the upcoming CBS drama as Ben Krull. Also known as Reactron, the DC Comics super-villain wears an armored suit powered by nuclear energy. Unable to defeat his real rival, Superman, Krull makes his way over to National City. In order to get his revenge against the Man of Steel, Ractron will go after his cousin, Supergirl.

In the comics, Reactron was known for his battles against Power Girl before becoming a member of Suicide Squad. The baddie was last seen in the the "Blackest Night" storyline, where Supergirl hallucinated he was a Black Lantern.

Though The 100 actor is scheduled to make his appearance in the third episode, Browning also has the potential to become a recurring character.

As we also mentioned, San Diego Comic-Con were given an early look at the CBS' eagerly anticipated superhero pilot. The screening was held at the opening night of the convention Wednesday night. Though pilot was previously leaked online, there were rave reviews for the leading actress and supporting cast.
