Marvel will release a bi-weekly, four-issue limited Deadpool vs. Thanos series this September. One of the craziest characters in the Marvel Universe teams up with one of the most powerful figures in the galaxy; what could possibly go wrong?  This combination is surprising considering Titan With a Temper does not care for The Merc With a Mouth...at all.

In writer Tim Seely's (Grayson) words, "He hates him. To Thanos, Deadpool is everything he despises about life. He's unpredictable, he's irrational and he's just plain annoying. There's a good reason Thanos kills Wade on the second page of issue #1."

So what could have possibly brought together these unlikely adversaries? The most powerful motivator of all: love. The two both have a romantic history with Death, who has mysteriously disappeared. This has caused everyone in the universe to stop dying. Their mutual interest in their ex forces them to work together so they can find Death and restore balance to the universe.

Despite their hatred for each other, "Thanos finds he needs Wade," Seeley says. "Mistress Death is only speaking to Deadpool, not him. So, in addition to just plain hating the guy, he's resentful and jealous too."

With the fate of the universe at stake, will this unlikely partnership set aside their differences and get the job done?  Or will Thanos finally let Deadpool die once and for all? These two iconic characters are also going to run into Dr. Doom, Mephisto, Blackheart, the Black Talon, and a few more surprises along the way.  Seely reveals that the series will " be taking a tour of Marvel bad guys."

Deadpool vs. Thanos #1, with art by Elmo Bondac and the cover by Tradd Moore, is on sale from Marvel Comics 9/02/15!
