This past Thursday, the Republican debates were in full swing. Candidates including Donald Trump and Chris Christie voiced their opinions, as you normally would expect them to at an event such as this. Everything from immigration, abortion and even Rosie O'Donnell were brought up. Naturally, comedians were ready and waiting for such a political event and these are the funniest tweets from the event. Radio hosts and comics alike tore it apart.

First up is Jim Norton of the Opie & Jim Norton Show. Jim has a lot to say on Chris Christie and how the debates correlate to his sexual habits. Naturally Norton, a master of radio and stand-up, is also a master and burning down something like a political debate. It's vintage Norton.

Here's Norton's former co-host Anthony Cumia. It wasn't surprising that he found joy out of Trump's Rosie comment. (The Internet is split on whether it's disgusting or hilarious – which is the case with most things online.) He also refers to an old member of the Republican party and offers up a prediction about Trump's future.

Naturally, Bill Maher chimed in as well. If it has to do with anything Republican, or just things he dislikes in general, his Twitter feed will light up. This night was no different than any of his other eviscerations.

Some are saying Patton Oswalt won the debates. Oswalt gave a minute by minute hilarious dissection of the Republican debate. He claims Trump gets his information on the Latino community from movies and even mentions Gwar because they can make any situation – even one with a set of blowhards like these debates – better.

Artie Lange would have tweeted something but he was too busy hanging out with Snoop Dogg. In the end, he my not have won the debates but he won life. Snoop is infinitely more important than anything going on.
