From Tim Kring (Heroes) and Gideon Raff (Homeland), DIG took USA Network by storm. Making its ways onto DVD and Blu-Ray, check out how FBI agent Peter Connelly (Jason Isaacs), detective Golan Cohen (Ori Pfeffer) and Lynn Monahan (Anne Heche) became part of the mystery behind Emma Wilson (Alison Sudol).

As we previously mentioned, the mystery all started when agent Peter Connelly (Isaacs) found himself being setup when Emma (Sudol)'s seemingly dead body was discovered. While Peter became the number one suspect in the murder investigation, a young boy, Avram (Guy Selnik), was being manipulated to take a scared animal across the seas. Elsewhere, Debbie (Lauren Ambrose) discovered a doomsday cult was cloning children. All these stories converged as Peter Connelly raced against time to stop the upcoming apocalypse.

We have 5 reasons why you should get Dig on DVD and Blu-Ray:

5) The Coolest Big Bad Ever

Who knew there could be someone worse and more conniving than Daniel Hardman? It was actor David Costabile (Suits) who stole the show as the evil Pastor Tad Billingham. The Breaking Bad actor was on a whole other level, as he relished every scene playing the bad guy.

4) Alison Sudol

I wasn't expecting much from the singer-songwriter of the band, A Fine Frenzy. Musicians transitioning to acting don't usually succeed (Cough Mariah Carey in Glitter Groan). But man did Sudol take me by surprise! Interestingly, Sudol had to play the sweet love interest, the victim, and the "crazy b**ch" all in the same role. And because of that, Sudol's going to be in the the Harry Potter spinoff, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.

3) Golan The Fan Favorite

Who else ending up really liking detective Golan Cohen (Pfeffer)? First, there was the love/hate banter going on between Golan and Peter. Those two had instant chemistry when they shared a scene together. Binge-watch all 10 episodes and see if you can figure out the mystery like Golan did.

2) Welcome To The Dark Side

Dig was something very new to USA Network. It wasn't campy like Burn Notice, nor was it slick like White Collar. It felt like USA Network was experimenting with its look and tone. A reminder of how Touching Evil (starring Jeffrey Donovan and Vera Farminga) was ahead of its time, Dig paved the way for Mr. Robot, Complications, and The Colony.

1) Jason Isaacs The Action Star

In an interview with MStars News, the Harry Potter actor discussed playing an action star. But you know what was my favorite action sequence?

Isaacs said, "Well, I was sore. I did that thing that actors do stupidly and shouldn't be allowed to do, which is I did all of my own stunts, the ones they'd let me do, which was all of them. And now I am waking up to a breakfast of Motrin."

Bonus: My favorite fight scene was when Debbie (Ambrose) went at it with Fay (Angela Bettis) in the bathroom In Meet The Rosenbergs. Very awesome to see Bettis and Ambrose in a gritty all-out brawl, where Debbie knocks Fay's head with the sink.

DIG arrives on DVD and Blu-Ray August 11.
