Are you ready for your Monday pick-me-up? We think this well get you through to at least Wednesday. It is being reported that Zac Efron is about to strip down to his skivvies for a new movie role. That's right, the former High School Musical star might be spending a majority of screen time for his next role in a little speedo, as he has reportedly been cast in a film version of the popular 1990's series Baywatch. Not just that, but fans of WWE will also get to see a wrestling veteran in his bathing suit as well, as Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson is also reportedly attached to the project.

Us Weekly is reporting that both the stars are set to hop down from the lifeguard stand and take that slo-mo run into the water.

The Hollywood Reporter is also speculating on the casting news, saying that Efron is gearing up to play a "young rule-flouting hothead," that is about to team up with Johnson's character who is a veteran lifeguard that is "by-the-book and very serious."

We can already tell where this is plot is going.  There are sure to be plenty of confrontations between Efron and Rock's characters before they finally learn to work together to save people.

Johnson's involvement in the project has been making headlines since October after he posted an Instagram picture of himself shirtless on a jet ski and posted comments confirming the long-standing rumors that the film was in development.

"'This is my beach b*tch!' Rumors are true... we're making #BAYWATCH the movie," the star wrote underneath the picture. "Edgy, raunchy, and hopefully, funny as all hell. Cue slo mo running on the beach... #WhoNeedsMouthToMouth #RedShortsBeHugginABrotha."

According to IGN, production on the film will begin early next year with Seth Gordon expected to direct the picture.

Are you ready for the beach action?  Who do you hope will join the cast for more slow-motion runs in the sand?
