Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice! Winona Ryder appeared on Late Night with Seth Meyers and confirmed some rumors that have been flying around since last year about Beetlejuice 2 going into development. Yahoo! News says, "As she explained to [Seth] Meyers, [Tim] Burton had himself told an interviewer that he was to direct the film, meaning she felt safe to confirm it too. 'It was very hush hush, top secret. And then he was doing some press for Big Eyes and he did an on-camera interview and he said, 'Oh yeah, we're doing it and Winona's going to be in it'. If he said it, I can..."

The star was promoting another film, Experimenter due out October 16. "Ryder, now 43, played a teenage goth in the original ghost story classic. Many years later, fans still remember her famous line in the movie and often ask her to say 'Beetlejuice' three times as she does in the film. 'At airports going through security, I have not been let through security unless I said it,' she revealed, 'in a very sweet way TSA people, I love you,'" Aceshowbiz reports. Clearly, Ryder is on board and excited for a sequel. Although she did say that she only knows just as much as anyone else knows about the sequel's development.

If Burton is on board to direct, it would be assumed that Michael Keaton would step up to the plate, too! "For years, rumors of a sequel have run rampant. Co-star Winona Ryder has discussed the possibility, and writer Seth Grahame-Smith has been working on the script since at least 2012," MTV News says. The original was released back in 1988 and has become a cult classic and favorite of Burton fans for almost two decades. The new project has very little revealed, but we can look forward to more news involving Ryder, Keaton and Burton for the creepy comedy sequel!
