Now that those rumors surrounding Will Smith and wife Jada Pinkett getting divorced are squashed, new rumors are bubbling that the 1990's classic Fresh Prince of Bel-Air is getting a reboot – WITH Will Smith himself producing.

TVLine reports that the show is still in "very early stages" of development, as the involved parties determine an exact plotline for the new series. It likely won't be an exact replica of the original television show, as sources say it's going to be a new spin on the original fish out of water story. One might say it's a "fresh" version of Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.

The original Fresh Prince premiered in 1990 and played for six seasons on NBC. It starred Will Smith as a boy from west Philadelphia, born and raised, who was sent to live with his auntie and uncle in his new kingdom of Bel-Air. The show had many iconic moments for 90s kids and cemented Smith as a true star.

The proposed Fresh Prince of Bel-Air reboot isn't the first bit of 90s nostalgia to be hitting the screen. Fuller House, a reboot of Full House will be hitting Netflix in 2016 and has already started filming, though it will be without Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen.

Bad Boys 3, a sequel to the seminal Bad Boys series, which starred Martin Lawrence and Smith, is really going to happen. Michael Bay may be directing the new movie, but it's unclear if Smith will be acting or just producing.

Earlier this year, Smith delighted the audience on The Ellen DeGeneres Show by rapping the lyrics to Fresh Prince's theme song. It's basically an identifying factor of being a 90s kid to know all the lyrics to the theme song.

Jimmy Fallon did his own shot-for-shot remake of the Fresh Prince theme song a couple of months ago.

"It was fantastic," Smith told Fallon about the video. "You did great!"
