Arrow and The Flash have already had multiple crossovers on the CW and now the DC TV universe is expanding even further with the addition of Supergirl on CBS. It also seems that CBS executives might be thawing slightly on the idea of a crossover among the three shows.

Greg Berlanti is the mastermind behind all three shows and he previously told Entertainment Weekly that all three exist in the same universe. But a full-on crossover with the two networks has never been explicitly confirmed.

Now, EW reports that CBS Chairwoman, Nina Tassler, has other crossover ideas on her mind before we see Supergirl fly into Starling City or The Flash zoom on over to CBS.

“We have not had conversations about the crossovers, but we are doing crossover promotions, so we will see that with the promotion crossovers, but not in terms of the characters,” she said at the Television Critics Association’s semi-annual press tour.

So what does this mean? It's unclear, but it could mean that Supergirl would appear alongside Flash and Arrow in promo posters or videos like the "Superhero Fight Club" we saw the CW produce last season.

It's also highly unlikely that we will see a full-fledged crossover among these three shows in this upcoming season, which would be Season 4 of Arrow, Season 2 of The Flash, and Season 1 of Supergirl. Arrow and The Flash have one major annual crossover event per season, not to mention the numerous mini-crossovers that occur when a character moves from one show to the other for an episode or two.

Plus, this season's crossover at midseason between the two CW series will be setting up the OTHER new series, DC's Legends of Tomorrow, so there's really not a lot of room for Supergirl unless they decided to do something around finale time in May.
