Terrence Howard is having a major breakdown off screen, and is living a real life drama in court with his ex-wife, Michelle Ghent. MStars News has learned that the Empire star cried during his testimony in court recently when his second wife threatened to expose him, after she sued him claiming extortion.

According to TMZ, Howard cried like a baby after he testified that he signed a settlement agreement with Ghent because she warned him that she was going to release medical information that would ruin his Hollywood career. Howard allegedly taped a conversation with Ghent that revealed he had some type of STD.

Not reading a script this time around, Howard said while crying:

"Sad that this has to be on a public forum," he added, "It's a family law, it should be family law, it should be protected."

The star continued, "To have your personal life exposed between family and shared with the public, I think is a violation of our privacy, and of our constitutional rights. It needs to be reformed."

The Best Man star also claimed that he felt pressured into signing the agreement, giving her a huge amount of money because she also threatened to release a sex tape of him with another woman.

"I was terrified of her releasing the private tapes," the actor said, claiming that the tape has "intimate settings."

Howard also admitted that he loved Ghent even after he learned that she had plans to blackmail him. "I loved her, I thought she had perhaps made the threats out of anger."

As for his past abuse allegations, Howard explained:

"I just wish the best for her," Howard previously said back in 2013 about Ghent. "But as far as me harming somebody... I really can't harm a fly. It's completely against my spirit, but I'm so heartbroken, that you can see that doing it on a night like this is only for an attempt to try and hurt me."

Howard is trying to get a judge to undo his settlement with Ghent of giving her close to $6,000 a month in spousal support, and part of his royalty's from the hit FOX show, Empire. Howard claims he agreed to give Ghent the "hush" money because he was under extreme duress.

The judge working this case is supposed to have a ruling announced Monday, Aug. 24 at 8:30 a.m.

MStars News wonders if Howard's third divorce (that's right he also got a divorce from his third wife, Mira Pak) in the middle of all this drama will be as bad as this case.

Pak split from Howard earlier in the Spring before their son, Quirin Love was born in May. Pak filed irreconcilable differences.
