Does FX have plans to reunite the Sons of Anarchy star and creator in Kurt Sutter's followup drama. Should audiences get ready for Charlie Hunnam to join Stephen Moyer (True Blood), Katey Sagal (SOA's Gemma Teller), Matthew Rhys (The Americans) in the medieval period piece, The Bastard Executioner.

As we previously mentioned,The Bastard Executioner follows a warrior knight, Wilkin Brattle (Lee Jones) in King Edward III's court. The loyal knight has been broken by the ravages of war and vows to leave the way of the sword. When violence strikes again, the retired knight is forced to pick up his sword again.

We mentioned before, Sagal will play Annora of the Alders, who offers predictions, cures and potions. Moyer is Milus Corbett, a former marshal in the army, who now serves as his own chamberlain, chancellor and justiciar. Matthew Rhys will also have the guest-starring role of Gruffudd y Blaidd, a smart, fearless and noble blood leader of the Welsh rebels. Sutter himself will play the Dark Mute in the 10-episode arc.

According to Entertainment Weekly, Sutter reveals he has been in talks with Hunnam and Tommy Flanagan (Chibs) about making the trip to TBX set.

Unfortunately, Sutter reveals there is a catch though, "Charlie really wants to come and do, like, a little arc but, he's sort of booked solid for the next three years, so I don't know if that'll happen," says Sutter, sounding disappointed. "But we still have Timothy V. Murphy and I'm sure we'll get some of our Irish dudes that we cast at some point on Sons. It's hard to schlep over American actors. It's been primarily British actors, other than all the people that are related to me that are in the show.

The Bastard Executioner premieres September 15 at 10 pm on FX.
