'Manhattan' Season 2 Promo: Rachel Brosnahan, Neve Campbell, William Petersen's Trailer Drops!

WGN America has released an-ll new promo for Season 2 of Manhattan. In this first look trailer, will Abby Isaacs (Rachel Brosnahan) and Louis 'Fritz' Fedowitz (Michael Chernus) get to meet their new arrivals, Neve Campbell (House of Cards) and William Petersen (CSI).   

As we previously mentioned, Manhattan is set against the turbulent backdrop of the mission to build the world's first atomic bomb, The first season followed the brilliant but flawed scientists and their families. Each member tried to coexist in a world, but their secrets and lies had a way of infiltrating every aspect of their lives.

The second season will focus on the events leading up to Trinity test. This is the first detonation of an atomic weapon, which happened 70 years ago. While Charlie Isaacs (Ashley Zukerman) and Abby (Brosnahan) embrace and struggle with their unexpected new power on the Hill, physicist Frank Winter (John Benjamin Hickey), doesn't know how his A-bomb should be used. Meanwhile, Frank's botanist wife (Olivia Williams) battles with the top-secret compound's new commanding officer (Petersen).

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the Party of Five Actress has joined the cast of the period drama. Campbell will  have a recurring role as Kitty Oppenheimer, the formidable and mercurial first lady of Los Alamos. Oppenheimer (Campbell)'s intersection with Abby Isaacs (Brosnahan) will affect both their husbands and the future of the project.

As we mentioned before, the Academy of Television Arts has honored the drama with its first Emmy Award nomination for Outstanding Main Title Design.This also marks the first Emmy nomination ever received for original programming on WGN America.

Season 2 of Manhattan premieres on WGN America Tuesday, October 13, at 9pm. Andy Samberg (Brooklyn Nine-Nine) hosts the Emmy Awards on September 20, 2015.
