Comedian Bill Maher recently discussed the lack-of-importance (in his opinion, of course) to Hillary Clinton's email scandal on Friday's night's episode of Real Time. The host brought up the issue as an example of the way he feels the Republicans on the right waste time and gloss over issues that are allegedly more important and have an actual effect on the American people, such as climate change.

"It seems you're always dealing with things that aren't actual problems..." Maher said to panelist Charles Cooke. He then questioned the validity of calling what went down with the presidential candidate's emails a "scandal" – noting that he's "trying to be fair" about the situation, but cannot seem to find a reason to be upset.

Clinton's email mishap refers to it being discovered that while holding the position of the Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton used a private email server and address to conduct business related to the government.

In laymen's terms, she was using a personal email to send work emails. Which is a big no-no, according to the right wing.

While he cannot seem to find reason to get angry, Maher admitted that publicizing the email issue has worked, as it appears her numbers in the polls are down.

Clinton has since handed over all private emails to the Justice Department in order to prove no behind-the-scenes business was conducted.

"Fox has spent more time on this scandal than they did on all the screw ups in Iraq, where so many people died and we spent trillions of dollars," Maher added.

In the end, it seems that Bill Maher believes subjects such as climate change and healthcare should be held higher than Hillary Clinton's email scandal.
