Ever since the character showed up in the first teaser trailer for J.J. Abrams' Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Kylo Ren has been on every fan's mind. Is he the new Sith villain? That strange crossguard lightsaber sure makes us think so, but Abrams this week dropped one of the biggest spoilers of the movie regarding Adam Driver's character. According to the director, Ren is not a Sith! Read more on this news below.

"Kylo Ren is not a Sith. He works under Supreme Leader Snoke [Andy Serkis' mo-cap character], who is a powerful figure on the Dark Side of the Force," Abrams told Empire Magazine in an upcoming feature.

If anything, this quote definitely makes us think of even more questions surrounding the First Order that Snoke runs and the people under him. So what kind of an organization is this?

"That all came out of conversations about what would have happened if the Nazis all went to Argentina but then started working together again?'" the director told the magazine, according to Slash Film. "What could be born of that? Could The First Order exist as a group that actually admired The Empire? Could the work of The Empire be seen as unfulfilled? And could Vader be a martyr? Could there be a need to see through what didn't get done?"

What do you think about these statements from Abrams? What kind of character is Ren? What kind of character is Snoke? We're sure to get answers in theaters on December 18, 2015, but for now, let us know what you think of this news in the comments section below!
