It was one long, tragic day on Aug. 26, 2015 when the world of journalism lost two of its members. MStars News has learned that Vester Lee Flanagan, also known as Bryce Williams on the air, released a chilling manifesto to ABC News before he killed WDBJ reporter Alison Parker and her cameraman, Adam Ward.

As we learn more about Williams, we now know that he was a former employee of WDBJ-7 in Roanoke, Virginia and complained about "racist things" while working at the news station, and also filed a lawsuit at a previous station.

In Williams' manifesto, he revealed that he filed a lawsuit againt WDBJ. In the 23-page letter released to the press this week, he wrote: "I marched down to the courthouse and sued WDBJ7 by myself and they settled! HA!"

The troubled gunman, who later shot himself after police found him, added : "I can remember one day in particular... leaving the courthouse... feeling overwhelmed... confused... even some fear. But by golly I knew I HAD to fight. ... They truly f----d with my life and caused an awful chain of events." He says he even killed his cats in a forest "because of them."

Flanagan, aka Williams, claimed that the Charleston shooting influenced him to go out and purchase the gun that he would use to murder Parker and Ward.

"Why did I do it? I put down a deposit for a gun on 6/19/15," he stated. "The Church shooting in Charleston happened on 6/17/15..."

Williams' gun was legally purchased inside of a Virginia gun store.

"What sent me over the top was the church shooting," he continued. "And my hollow point bullets have the victims' initials on them."

Williams admitted that he did make mistakes and claims that he "should not have been so curt with photographers in Roanoke. [B]ut you know why I was? The damn news director was a micromanaging tyrant!!"

The former news reporter believed that "the photogs were out to get me at WDBJ7... one went to HR after only working with me one time... the chief photog told his troops to [record video of] me if they saw me doing something wrong."

Williams claimed that he was offered a job at a station in Pennsylvania and revealed that WDBJ-7 persuaded the Pennsylvania station not to continue with hiring him.

"I got to the point, this time around, where I wasn't even looking for a job. I don't need to deal with workplace bullies anymore. THAT is what lawmakers need to focus on," Williams wrote.

In the message sent via fax, more of the 23-page manifesto read: "I've been a human powder keg for a while....just waiting to go BOOM."

Speaking out so far is Parker's family and her beloved boyfriend, Chris Hurst. Hurst, an employee at WDBJ, revealed that he had been dating Parker for 9 months, as they had recently moved in together. Parker and Hurst had plans to get married one day.

MStars News also learned that Ward was engaged to the WDBJ morning producer, Melissa Ott. Ott was working in the control at the station when she witnessed her fiance being killed. It was her last day at WDBJ, because she had taken a new job in Charlotte, North Carolina.
