Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner are doing something positive, and that's taking their kids to their first day of school following their breakup and impending divorce news.

According to People, the parents were spotted together dropping off their kids, Violet, 9, Seraphina, 6, and Samuel, 3, for their first day back to school Tuesday morning.

"They smiled and chatted during the morning run," a source revealed. "There was no obvious tension between them."

Things have started to get back to normal for the family, as Garner finished work on her new film, Miracles From Heaven, in Atlanta. Over the weekend, the working mother got back into her routine in Los Angeles, running errands and attending church service on Sunday.

Last week, Garner and her ex were spotted at a family counseling center. It was the first time the former couple decided to visit the center since announcing their decision to divorce back in June.

The trip doesn't mean that they will get back together, though. The source claims that "there is no reconciliation." Instead, Garner and Affleck "are working with a professional because there are emotions involved and they want to make this transition as easy as possible for their family."

MStars News previously reported Garner and Affleck decided to call it quits on their marriage back in June of 2015 after being together for 10 years. The couple announced their plans for a divorce a few days before their wedding anniversary.

After the couple split, there were rumors that Affleck was cheating on his estranged wife with the couple's hired help, their 28-year-old nanny, Christine Ouzounian. When Ouzounian was let go, suspicion started to emerge.
