Dark Knight and Interstellar director Christopher Nolan is at it again! His new, quite mysterious film that won't even be released until July 21st 2017, was announced and that Nolan would be working again with Warner Brothers. This is his next confirmed project we're talking about, not the rumors of his involvement with the live-action adaptation of Akira.

The film will be "sandwiched" between two other big titles, "the Planet of the Apes franchise and the Spider-Man reboot co-produced by Sony Pictures and Marvel Studios," Digital Trends reports. This will continue Nolan's working relationship with Warner Brothers having started when he directed Insomnia, which is a remake of Erik Skjoldbjærg's Swedish crime thriller, which starred Al Pacino, Hilary Swank and Robin Williams. Comingsoon.net says, "He also famously helmed the studio's Dark Knight trilogy (Batman Begins, The Dark Knight and The Dark Knight Rises) as well as three original features: The Prestige, Inception and, most recently, Interstellar (a co-production with Paramount Pictures)."

The media isn't really surprised that Nolan has decided to keep everything so hush hush. The film's release date has been announced, but not much else. Nolan seems to have a reputation for keeping his fans on the edge of their seats. "After all, this is the guy who gave audiences all three flicks from The Dark Knight trilogy-secrecy is perhaps the most important trait for a superhero movie director. And let's not forget that all the early press for Interstellar consisted of just a wide camera pan over a corn field. No one had any idea, at least in the beginning, that the thing was even about space travel," E! News reports.

There was also a huge mystery behind why the studio would even schedule the film so close in between all of those other guaranteed popular action films. CinemaBlend points out that even with Interstellar, which they note "received the weakest critical reception of the director's career," but still managed to make "nearly $700 million worldwide," CinemaBlend reports.

Needless to say, we will be more than happy to discover more details about the acclaimed filmmaker's game plan.
