Nick Diaz said after a fight that he "trains by day" and listens to the Joe Rogan podcast "by night." Now that he has been hit with a 5-year ban from fighting professionally in the UFC after getting popped for smoking weed, he has all the time in the world to listen to Rogan. Diaz is not alone though. A lot of people are angry about the ruling. One person who has been the most adamant about it is UFC's top draw Ronda Rousey. Rousey says she would rather the Nevada State Athletic Commission test more for performance enhancing drugs.

"It's so not right for [Diaz] to be suspended five years for marijuana. I'm against them testing for any weed at all. It's not a performance-enhancing drug," Rousey said. "It has nothing to do with athletic competition, and it's only tested for political reasons so they say, 'Oh, it's only for your safety so you're not hurting yourself when you're out there.' So why don't they test for all the other things that could possibly hurt us that we could be under the influence of while we're out there?"

Rousey then went on to say that Diaz's UFC 183 opponent Anderson Silva was only hit with a one-year suspension even though he has failed multiple drug tests. She said the "slap on the wrist" for the PED guy was "unfair."

"It's not fair at all," Rousey continued. "It doesn't make me a bad person for saying it, it just- I can't believe it's not being said more. I think they really should free Nick Diaz, but it's not [UFC President] Dana [White's] decision either."

The ruling came down on Diaz Monday. A lifetime ban was discussed between the Nevada State Athletic Commission but they opted for a five-year ban instead –which in fighting years might as well be a lifetime ban.

Diaz, the outspoken fighter and Joe Rogan fan, mouthed off against the commission after his court hearing.

"I got into this sport for this exact reason, being stuck in a room with people like that," Diaz explained. "I wanted to tell them what I think. I wanted to tell each and every one of them they're a bunch of dorks. Everybody who sees them or knows who they are should tell them that. I would if it weren't for my experts advising me to keep my mouth shut. I wanted to get up and say, 'Look. You guys are way the f*ck out of line."
