This might be one of the most controversial disses in Miss America history. Following the Sunday night pageant, it seemed that the world was fascinated with what Miss Colorado star, Kelley Johnson, did during her talent segment. The nurse decided to forgo the singing, and tap dancing routines to deliver a monologue that she had written about her profession. It seemed that segment didn't go over so well with some of the ladies on ABC talk show The View, especially returning host Joy Behar. However, the starlet has retracted her comment and apologized to the beauty queen.

According to Us Weekly, during Monday's episode of the show, Behar seemed unimpressed by Johnson's talent, questioning, "Why does she have a doctor's stethoscope on?"

However, since all the backlash that Joy has faced because of her comment, she brought attention back to the issue on Wednesday's show to issue an apology.

"We love nurses . . . We adore you. We respect you." - The View co-hosts respond to comments made earlier in the week about a Miss America contestant.

"I was looking at a Miss America tape, and there's a woman wearing an outfit with a stethoscope, and I'm thinking is she in a costume? I didn't know she was a nurse," Behar shared in the clip above. "I'm used to seeing them in gowns and bathing suits. It's not like I was trying to be funny. It was just stupid and inattentive on my part. I didn't know what the hell I was talking about. My son-in-law is a physician assistant, one of my nieces is a nurse, so I mean I know they use stethoscopes, I just was not paying attention."

However, despite her apology, the TV series has lost some pretty big name advertisers with both Eggland's Best and Johnson & Johnson pulling their funding. The latter issued a statement via New York Daily News saying, "Johnson & Johnson values and appreciates nurses and we respect the critical role they play. We disagree with recent comments on daytime television about the nursing profession and we have paused our advertising accordingly."
