Andy Samberg, Seth Meyers Lorne Michaels Emmy Awards: ‘SNL’ Alums Honor "World Best Boss"

Lorne Michaels isn't really one for speeches, but that doesn't mean that 2015 Emmy Awards host Andy Samberg was going to let him get away scot-free – or trophy-free. The host, alongside fellow Saturday Night Live alum, and current Late Night host, Seth Meyers, decided to present Michaels with a "World Best Boss" mug to show their immense thank you for, well, starting their careers.

In fact, the careers of so many entertainers in the world.

It all went down during Sunday night's Emmy Awards. The two alums honored their once-upon-a-time boss in what Bustle is calling the "most perfect way possible" – you know, a Best Boss mug.

Before Meyers presented the award for Lead Actress in a Comedy Series, the duo wanted to pay homage to Michaels, saying that two of the nominees started on Saturday Night Live. Furthermore, over 40 of the celebs nominated at this year's Emmys have somehow worked with Lorne Michaels in the past, which is something that is pretty amazing. Or as Samberg called it, mind-blowing.

Meyers further stated, "So we all, everyone here, pooled our money and got you something really special to show our appreciation."

The gift? You guessed it, the World Best Boss mug.

In the end, congrats ... Shonda Rhimes? Lee Daniels? Oh, right ... Lorne Michaels.
