'Sleepy Hollow' Season 3 Spoilers: Will Tom Mison, Nicole Beharie Meet Ichabod Crane's "Mom?"

Fox has plans underway for the upcoming Season 3 of Sleepy Hollow. Will Abbie Mills (Nicole Beharie) end up meeting someone from Ichabod Crane (Tom Mison)'s family, specifically his "long-lost mother?"

After dying in the midst of battle during the Revolutionary War, solider Ichabod (Mison) awakes in the present-day Sleepy Hollow, New York. His sudden resurrection is connected to the reappearance of the Headless Horseman, who happens to be one of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse. To prevent the end of the world, Crane teams up with Mills (Beharie) to stop the Horseman's evil reign of terror.

As we previously mentioned, Lane Gross (Crisis) has landed a major recurring role as Daniel Reynolds, the FBI special agent in charge. As Abbie's (Beharie) new boss. Reynolds will quickly make a name for himself at the bureau with his tenacity and political savviness. His first assignment to Sleepy Hollow will reunite him with Abbie.

During the second season, actor Victor Garber (The Flash) made an appearance as Ichabod Crane's father. Mark Goffman, the show's former showrunner, had plans to introduce Crane's mother during the sophomore season? Though Goffman has stepped down, will the new show runner continue with his plans of visiting Crane's family?

In an interview with TV Line, showrunner Clifton Campbell admits he has other plans and ideas of his own, "We just felt, because of last season and some of the responses from the fans, that we should probably give Crane's family a rest."

Sleepy Hollow premieres on Fox for Season 3 on Thursday, Oct. 1 at 9pm; just in time for its special Halloween crossover with Bones.
