Season 3 of Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. will seemingly focus heavily on The Secret Warriors, and a new report has some spoilers on how the group comes together in the new episodes.

The Matt's Inside Line column at TVLine has plenty of information about the Secret Warriors, including how the formation of the group differs from the comics. In the source material, Nick Fury brings together the group of young people and Daisy Johnson is the one who trains them and works under Fury. But in the show, Coulson (Clark Gregg) will be in charge with Daisy (Chloe Bennet) as second in command.

"As you may be well aware, the comic books’ Secret Warriors story followed Nick Fury as he rounded up young people with powers and safeguarded them from corrupt elements within and outside of S.H.I.E.L.D. 'And the person sort of in charge of training them, under him, is Daisy Johnson," executive producer Jeff Bell explained. "Coulson’s our director, and at the end of last season he tasked Daisy with trying to find Inhumans, or powered people, to put together a team to combat the rise of these other people out in the world. And that’s a process. As you can imagine, it’s one thing to find a person who has powers; it’s another to find a person who has those skills and wants to be with you. So, the idea of putting together a Secret Warrior team over the course of the season seems like a noble goal for S.H.I.E.L.D., as they battle Inhumans."

This makes perfect sense, as Samuel L. Jackson was never going to show up in enough episodes to lead this team. Plus, the Nick Fury character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe can't be acting as director of S.H.I.E.L.D. anyway.

The Season 3 premiere official description also revealed that Coulson and Daisy would be on the lookout for powered people, so this tracks with what we've already heard.
