'RHONJ' Teresa Giudice Crying In Prison Over Pope Francis' Visit To United States

Teresa Giudice was an emotional wreck behind prison walls when Pope Francis visited the United States for the first time last week. According to People, the former Real Housewives of New Jersey (RHONJ) star tweeted "I am crying," when she watched the Pope's visit on television.

Giudice's tweeted the following words seen below, after the Pope took a trip to New York to speak at the United Nations, where Giudice wrote on her social media account, Thursday: "Watching the Pope Francis coverage on TV and I am crying; what a wonderful man, such a kind and gentle soul #Proud Catholic."

The 78-year-old pontiff also visited Washington D.C. during his first visit to the country. Despite being behind bars the mother-of-four girls seems to use her Twitter account at least once a month. In the tweets below, Giudice mostly thanked her fans for their cards and support.

Giudice, 43, is still serving her 15-month prison sentence for fraud. She has been at the FCI Danbury, a low-security federal correctional place.

Giudice isn't allowed to use the Internet, but they can communicate through the phone and email with approved parties, so it's more than likely that her publicist, or someone in her family, has been making statements for her.

Giudice has been behind bars since January. Her husband Joe will reported to prison after she is released to serve out his 41-months sentence.

Bravo is gearing up for a three-part special that will show Teresa's ups and downs in prison while her family copes with her absence.

The new show called The Real Housewives of New Jersey: Teresa Checks In airs in October.
