Last season, Cleveland Cavaliers' LeBron James wasn't playing like his usual self. He was consistently missing shots, and didn't have his usual strength and power on the court. He ended up taking two weeks off, missing a total of 8 games. Now, he claims he needs more rest prior to the start of the upcoming 2105 NBA season. Will he be out for two weeks off again?

King James took his royal 2-week-long rest in December 2014, shortly after his 30th birthday. After the rest, James was back to his normal play: explosive and powerful. Now, considering the fact that he has been making claims of needing more rest, should we expect another 2-week mini vacation from the court, yet again?

As reported by NBC Sports, during the Cavs' media day, LeBron made some comments about his health: "I feel just as healthy as I did my rookie year?" Asked James. "Nah, absolutely no. I could definitely use a couple more months off. But it is what is. I'm ready to go."

According to ESPN, here's what James said about his decision to take 2 weeks off last season:

"I just think it happened that way last year," James said after Cavs practice Friday. "I don't think that's something I look to do every year. I don't like sitting those games out, but I went through a course last year where I had to physically, mentally [rest] for those two weeks I sat out. Those were the majority of the games [missed]. I think it was eight or nine games throughout that two-week process. So, I don't like sitting out games. I'm not a big fan of it. I like being out on the floor, but we'll see what happens."

Even if he doesn't take a 2-week-break, the Cavs will definitely be providing LeBron with fewer minutes to play per game. Last season, James played a career-low of 36.1 minutes per game, as reported by News 8000; perhaps the Cavs will shorten that time a bit more? But will the Cavs be able to shorten his minutes to the extent of not harming their championship pursuit?

"I've always tried to manage my body, and like I said, I'm hard-headed at times, but I got to do a better job of understanding how many minutes I've played, how many miles I've logged and things of that nature over my career," James said, as per ESPN. "You know, I want to be there when it counts most, so I got to be very smart about it. I think our coaching and our training staff will also be smart about it, as well, and we have a game plan going into this season."

Despite James' concern for more rest, he apparently challenged himself last month by going through intense three-a-day workouts for five days a week. So, it seems as though he's definitely starting this season off healthier than last. Which would mean that he might not even need that 2-week-break he took last season!

"It's just about getting my body geared toward getting towards the season," James said, as reported by ESPN. "I always like to stay in shape, even in the offseason, and this September I wanted to be even a little bit more in shape to see how my body would [react]. Coming into camp, I feel pretty good. Obviously great, those [days of] feeling great, feeling-great days are kind of over, but I feel great -- as good as I can -- coming into training camp. So, it's just pushing the envelope for myself always. I want to try to push the envelope and see what I can do."

Hopefully King James' decision to feel things out will work out well for himself and the Cavs. And if all else fails, he'll obviously resort to taking a short vacation during regular season to better himself for the Finals as he did last season.
